SOE (Save on Energy) Program
Capital Junk is partnering with Hydro Ottawa to offer commercial clients an incentive to have their old lighting removed and replaced with energy efficient lighting options. Capital Junk will collect old fluorescent tubes, compact and circular lamps, U-lamps, incandescent bulbs, halogen lamps, and more and have them properly disposed. Once the removal has taken place Capital Junk will provide you with a “paid” receipt which you are required to submit to Hydro Ottawa. The goal of this program is to provide environmentally conscious commercial and industrial facilities with a sustainable option to keep mercury and other hazardous materials out of our local landfills. Once the bulbs have been removed Capital Junk will ensure their safe transportation and disposal at nationally recognized recycling facilities.
Cost per Load:
- $75.00 (Up to 50 bulbs)

Appliance Removal Promotion
Unfortunately, the City of Ottawa is no longer taking most appliances, televisions, or other items like this in weekly municipal garbage pickups. If you have a single or multiple appliances or electronic items that you need to dispose of, Capital Junk is happy to haul and dispose of these items. We will offer a reduced price below our minimum rate because old appliances are easily recycled. No matter how many, no matter how small or large, Capital Junk will safely and efficiently remove the appliance from any location and ensure it is disposed of properly.
