Now that the weather has warmed up, it is officially time to start cleaning the house. It may be well into spring, but there is no better time than now. But before you get started, this year stock your cleaning supplies with natural products, rather than all the chemicals!
The chemicals can be bad for the planet and your health. It’s cheaper, and just as effective, to engage in green cleaning by using natural cleaning solutions that you can make right at home!
Here are 5 tips for doing natural spring cleaning:
- Sinks. Get a shiny and super clean sink by sprinkling it with baking soda. Then, sprinkle lemon juice on top. Let it foam up. Then take your scrub brush to it and rinse.
- Windows. Get a spray bottle, fill it with water and add a tablespoon of vinegar. Then, use your newspapers to wash the windows, rather than paper towels. It reuses the newspaper and will prevent streaks.
- Ovens. If you spill something you are baking, simply pour salt on it. Once the oven is cooled down, just wipe it right off.
- Carpet. For carpet stains, just pour club soda on it, then blot it all off
